Culture Keeper Bio
Tosha Stimage is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores language, meaning, and cultural memory through acts of de- and re-contextualization. She is the founder of SAINT FLORA, a wellness practice rooted in Black beauty, care, and safety—it once masqueraded as a flower and gift retail store in Oakland, CA. A graduate of CCA’s MFA Interdisciplinary Program, Stimage has received numerous awards and residencies, including the Toby Devan Lewis Award, Murphy and Cadogan Award, Facebook Artist-in-Residence, and the AICAD Fellowship. Born in rural Mississippi, she moved throughout the U.S. before investing her creative energy in the Bay Area. Her practice spans visual art, teaching, and floral design, all grounded in a commitment to collective healing and liberation.
